Equipment info

The National Instruments PCI-1200 is a multifunctional I/O board for data acquisition and control in PCI-based systems. It integrates 8-channel single-ended (or 4-channel differential) 12-bit analog input, 2-channel 12-bit analog output, 24 lines of TTL-compatible digital I/O, and three 16-bit counter/timers. The board supports analog input rates to 100 kS/s single-channel and 83.3 kS/s multichannel scanning, with software-programmable gain (1, 2, 4, 8, 10, 20, 50, 100) and input ranges of 0–10 V unipolar or ±5 V bipolar. Analog outputs operate from 0–10 V unipolar or ±5 V bipolar at update rates between 20 S/s and 1 kS/s. Digital I/O ports configure independently for input, output, bidirectional, or handshaking modes with 2.5 mA sink capability per line. Counter/timers operate at a 2 MHz base clock with maximum source frequency of 8 MHz. Onboard self-calibration circuitry compensates for offset and gain drift. The board draws 425 mA at +5 VDC and mounts in a standard PCI slot. NI-DAQ drivers enable integration with LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, and Visual Studio environments, with configuration available through NI MAX.
