The NI PCIe-6509 is a high-density digital I/O device for PCI Express systems, delivering 96 bidirectional channels of 3.3 V/5 V TTL/CMOS digital I/O. Built on dual DAQ-STC3 ASICs, it provides 24 mA per-channel drive current for direct control of industrial actuators, solid-state relays, and external logic circuits. Input protection extends to ±20 V on up to two pins, while programmable features including power-up states, digital filtering, change detection, and watchdog timers enable reliable operation in demanding automation and machine control environments.
