The NI PCIe-GPIB/LP is a low-profile PCI Express controller card that integrates GPIB instruments directly into computer systems. Built on the NI TNT ASIC, it delivers high-performance IEEE 488.2 communication with dual handshake protocols: standard IEEE 488 interlocked handshake reaching 1.5 MB/s and HS488 high-speed mode up to 7.9 MB/s. Integrated bus master DMA decouples PCI Express and GPIB data transfers via FIFO buffers, eliminating microprocessor interruptions during instrument communication.
