The NI PXIe-5611 is a high-performance I/Q vector modulator module that generates complex modulated signals within the PXI Express platform. It produces single-sideband suppressed carrier waveforms by accepting analog quadrature-phase baseband inputs and combining them with an RF local oscillator signal. The module operates from 50 MHz to 6.6 GHz and delivers RF output power up to +19 dBm typical, with reverse power protection enabled above +30 dBm. Baseband inputs accept differential signals up to 0.8 Vpk-pk with 50 MHz bandwidth and 100 Ω input impedance. A dedicated pulse modulation input supports TTL-compatible control signals for on-off keying. The PXIe-5611 integrates into the NI PXIe-5673/5673E Vector Signal Generator systems and enables phase-coherent multi-device operation through shared local oscillator distribution. Programmed via the NI-RFSG driver and LabVIEW, LabWindows, or C/C++ development environments, it suits wireless communication testing, signal generation, and custom waveform creation across diverse RF applications.
