The ACC-84E is a universal serial encoder interface board designed for OMRON UMAC and MACRO Station controllers operating within a 3U industrial rack system. It converts serial encoder data into parallel digital feedback, supporting up to 4 channels per board and enabling position and velocity feedback for closed-loop servo control. The board connects via the high-speed JEXP expansion bus and processes encoder data into 24-bit binary parallel words per channel, depending on protocol specifications. Each board is factory-programmed for a single serial encoder protocol; multiple protocols require separate boards.
