The Parker/Compumotor PDM1003D is an all-digital PWM servo drive module engineered for demanding industrial automation. It delivers optically isolated PWM commands with adjustable frequency up to 10 kHz, driving brushless permanent magnet rotary and linear servo motors as well as AC inverter duty induction motors. The module accepts 200–240 VAC single or three-phase input at 50/60 Hz and outputs 0.0–230 V with peak current ratings to 56 A RMS, supported by comprehensive protection circuitry including short circuit, ground fault, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and logic supply fault detection. A 7-segment fault/status display provides real-time diagnostics. Dead time logic prevents IGBT shoot-through, while digital serial A/D feedback monitors motor current. The 36-pin Mini-D connector interfaces with digital controllers such as Delta Tau’s PMAC2 and PMACTurbo platforms. Panel-mount construction with advanced thermal management ensures reliable operation in harsh environments. Line impedance must not exceed 5% upstream of AC input terminals; maximum short circuit rating is 65,000 RMS symmetrical amperes.
