The Pentair/APW Electronic Solutions VMEbus Power Cage II Mainframe is a fully integrated enclosure that combines card cage, VMEXCEL backplane, power supply, cooling, and pre-installed wiring into a single rack-mountable package. Designed for VMEbus system deployment in industrial and embedded applications, it eliminates integration complexity by delivering a field-ready mainframe that supports immediate board installation. The system scales from 5 to 21 VME slots and accommodates 6U or 9U card heights with depths of 160 mm or 400 mm.
Technical Specifications
• Backplane: APW Electronic Solutions VMEXCEL with automatic daisy chaining; compliant with ANSI/VITA 1-1994 and VME64 Extended ANSI/VITA 1.1-1997
• Slot Configuration: 5, 12, or 21 VME slots (J1 and J2 planes); J2 supports VMEbus extension
• Card Cage: Triple fan cooling; supports 6U or 9U heights; card depths of 160 mm or 400 mm
• Power Supply: Available in 500 W, 750 W, or 1000 W ratings; 500 W option delivers 75 A at +5V
