Power Design 4500D

The Power Design 4500D is a 500VA AC withstand voltage tester (hipot tester) engineered for production line compliance testing and electrical safety verification. It delivers adjustable output voltage with ±(2% of Setting + 5V) accuracy and a maximum of 100 mA AC, ensuring safe, controlled testing of product electrical integrity against agency standards. The unit features variable ramp and dwell time settings to protect sensitive devices under test, coupled with ground continuity monitoring at 0.1 A DC ± 0.01A to verify proper DUT connection. CE and TUV listed per EN 61010 and IEC 1010, the 4500D accepts user-selectable input (115V or 230V) and output frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz). Its menu-driven interface includes test setup memory, software-controlled calibration, and a standard 9-pin remote interface supporting PLC integration via Test, Reset, Pass, Fail, and Test in Process signals. Remote interlock connection accommodates operator safety enclosures. The instrument operates across 0°C to 40°C and 0–80% relative humidity, with 5 ft. high voltage leads and a 6 ft. detachable power cable.
