The Radisys EPC-7 is a C-size VXIbus embedded computer that serves as a system controller and resource manager for test, measurement, and control applications. Built on the Intel 486 processor with IBM PC Architecture compatibility, it performs 8-, 16-, and 32-bit VXIbus data transfers as both master and slave. The module integrates trigger line control, interrupt handling, and expansion capabilities into a compact 12 × 12 × 12 inch form factor weighing 7.45 lbs.

– Key Features
• Functions as Slot-0 and system controller with Resource Manager capabilities
• Drives and samples TTL and ECL trigger lines
• Two EXM expansion slots support daughter modules including Ethernet (EXM-10A) and True Color SVGA controller (EXM-13A)
• Optional EPC7-AM daughter module adds ISA card support and secondary serial port (COM2); occupies three total VXI slots
• Front-panel connectors include standard PC serial and parallel ports, PS/2 keyboard interface, SCSI-2, external clock and trigger signal connectors, and RS-232
– Compatibility & Integration
IBM PC Architecture compatibility enables deployment of standard PC operating systems including MS-DOS and OS/2. The module integrates directly into VXIbus systems as a master, slave, or controller. SCSI-2 connectivity and optional expansion modules provide flexible I/O and networking options for system integration.
