The RadiSys EXM-13B is a high-performance VGA and SVGA graphics controller card for embedded systems and industrial applications. Built on the Cirrus Logic CL-GD5434 or superior chipset, it delivers accelerated graphics through 1MB or 2MB of display memory connected via a 64-bit data path. The card supports standard VGA modes from 640 × 480 through SVGA resolutions up to 1280 × 1024 × 8 (256 colors) at 60 Hz non-interlaced refresh rate. A standard 15-pin VGA connector provides analog RGB output, while a 36-pin shielded feature connector enables flat panel display integration and direct DAC control via digital inputs.

– Compatibility & Integration
The EXM-13B installs into RadiSys EXM carrier slots using thumbscrew mechanical mounting. Standard ISA memory and I/O address assignments may conflict with integrated graphics controllers; systems with EPC-2 or EPC-3 integrated VGA require address remapping. Multiple EXM-6/13 modules in a single system must be software-managed to enable only one at a time. Default configuration: ID = ED, OB1 = 01, OB2 = 00.
