Equipment info

The Rohde & Schwarz FSU3 is a high-performance spectrum analyzer for RF analysis in research, development, and production environments. It spans DC to 3.6 GHz (AC coupled from 1 MHz) with 0.01 Hz frequency resolution and delivers noise floors down to -152 dBm at 2 GHz with optional preamplification. The FSU3 combines wide dynamic range, selectable resolution bandwidth from 1 Hz to 50 MHz, and a full suite of measurement functions including ACLR, harmonic distortion, spurious emissions, and phase-noise analysis. Its TOI exceeds +20 dBm (typical +25 dBm) and 1 dB compression point sits at +13 dBm, supporting demanding adjacent-channel and interference characterization tasks. Frequency stability is supported via internal OCXO (1 × 10–9 aging/day) or optional low-drift reference, with external 1 MHz to 20 MHz input capability. The instrument integrates 39 channel filters, RRC filters for NADC and TETRA standards, EMI filters, and configurable detector selection for diverse signal types. Peak-list markers, time-domain power measurement, CCDF analysis, and scalar network analysis round out its measurement portfolio, enabling efficient characterization across communications, EMC, and general RF verification workflows.
