The Rohde & Schwarz FSH4 is a handheld spectrum analyzer covering 100 kHz to 3.6 GHz, engineered for field signal analysis and interference detection. This multifunction instrument operates as a spectrum analyzer, power meter, cable and antenna tester, and two-port vector network analyzer depending on installed options. An integrated preamplifier delivers sensitivity to -161 dBm (1 Hz), while phase noise performance reaches -127 dBc/Hz at 500 MHz with 1 MHz offset. The splash-proof housing withstands demanding field environments. Resolution bandwidth spans 1 Hz to 3 MHz. Amplitude accuracy measures less than 0.5 dB with typical measurement uncertainty under 1 dB. Maximum rated input is 50 V DC or 20 dBm CW RF power with RF attenuation ≥10 dB. The FSH4 executes channel power, adjacent channel power, and spectrum emission mask (SEM) measurements. Modulation analysis covers AM and FM; signal analysis includes LTE, NB-IoT, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA, and GSM protocols with 20 MHz demodulation bandwidth for LTE signals. Directional power measurements operate up to 4 GHz. EMI precompliance testing and field strength measurement capabilities are built in. Tracking generator and VSWR bridge functionality are available on select models. A replaceable Li-ion battery supplies up to 4.5 hours of runtime. USB (Host/Device) and LAN (RJ-45) interfaces enable remote control, firmware updates, and data transfer to external systems.
