The Spanawave/Giga-tronics/Ascor 3000-42/48 is a high-density SPDT (Form C) relay switch module designed for VXIbus automated test equipment systems. This 6U C-size module delivers 48 individually controlled relays capable of switching up to 5 A continuously at 277 VAC / 110 VDC (or 250 VAC / 110 VDC), making it suitable for both signal-level and power switching applications. Each relay is independently addressable through three 16-bit program registers, with logical addressing via rear-panel switches supporting addresses 1 to 255 decimal.

• High-density 48-relay architecture in compact 6U form factor (13.78″ × 10.317″ × 1.200″)
• Analog ground mounting beneath relays reduces signal-to-noise ratio
• Field-configurable logical address range (1–255 decimal, 1–FF hexadecimal)
• 50-pin Burndy Positronic SMPL50MOTOLB connectors with 16 AWG wiring
• VXIbus Specification compliance (Rev 1.2 through 1.4)
• Fused 10 A protection on +5 V line
– Typical Applications
• Automated test equipment (ATE) signal and power switching
• Unit under test (UUT) power application and circuit isolation
• Multi-channel signal routing in VXI instrumentation systems
– Compatibility & Integration
The module integrates into any VXIbus mainframe supporting Specification Rev 1.2 through 1.4. Logical addressing is set via dual circular switches (D1, D2) on the rear panel. A16 and A24 base addressing is computed from the logical address and Offset Register (06h) respectively, enabling plug-and-play deployment in mixed-architecture VXI systems.
