The Spirent TAS5048 CDMA PLTS Test Configuration Unit automates RF connection switching within Spirent’s Position Location Test System for comprehensive CDMA device and network testing. This unit establishes controlled, repeatable test environments essential for performance and conformance validation of CDMA technologies, particularly location-based services and E911 Phase II emergency services. The TAS5048 manages RF switching for EV-DO device testing, integrating system instruments to deliver calibrated RF levels at device antennas. Direct RF connections to mobile devices are provided through one or two dynamically reconfigurable test ports under software control.
