The Tektronix P7240 is a 4 GHz active FET probe designed for high-performance signal acquisition in demanding measurement environments. This 5X attenuation probe delivers minimal circuit loading through <1 pF input capacitance and 20 kΩ DC resistance, making it ideal for high-speed digital characterization and signal integrity analysis. The compact, low-mass probe head provides access to densely packed surface-mount devices and complex circuitry without mechanical interference.

Rise time is guaranteed at ≤120 ps, supporting accurate timing and jitter measurements on modern serial and parallel interfaces. The probe accepts signals across a ±2 V typical dynamic range (±1.75 V warranted) with ±5 Vdc offset capability, and withstands non-destructive overvoltage to ±30 V DC plus peak AC. Its 1.3 m cable and TekConnect interface maintain signal integrity up to 10 GHz and beyond, future-proofing investment in oscilloscopes.

The P7240 integrates with Tektronix MSO/DPO/DSA70000 series instruments, delivering seamless plug-and-play connectivity without external adapters. At 223 g with included ground lead set, adapter springs, and SMT KlipChip adapter, the probe ships ready for immediate deployment across R&D, characterization, and manufacturing test environments.
