The Yokogawa FG420 is a dual-channel arbitrary/function generator delivering precision signal synthesis from 0.01 µHz to 30 MHz. Engineered for electronic test, development, and circuit validation, the FG420 generates sine, square, pulse, ramp, noise, DC, and arbitrary waveforms with 16-bit amplitude resolution at 120 MS/s sampling. Isolated outputs enable safe development of floating circuits, motor drives, inverters, and power supplies. Output reaches 20 Vp-p with square wave rise/fall times of 17 ns or less and overshoot below 5%. The instrument supports continuous, modulation (AM, FM, FSK, PM, PWM), sweep, burst, and sequence operating modes. Arbitrary waveforms store up to 512 K words per channel. Synchronization of up to six units provides 12 coordinated output channels. A 3.5″ LCD display combined with GPIB and USB interfaces enables bench operation and remote control. Compact dimensions of 216 mm width × 88 mm height × 332 mm depth and 2.1 kg weight suit laboratory and production environments. AC input 100–230 V at 50/60 Hz; power consumption 75 VA maximum.
