The Aeroflex / Tektronix / CDS 53A-123 is a differential communications card that enables 8-bit parallel data transfer within CDS 53/63 Series Systems. Using Texas Instruments TI 75119 differential drivers and receivers, the card transmits data at rates up to 500,000 ASCII characters per second over distances reaching 300 m (984 feet). Differential signaling at 130 ohms impedance ensures reliable operation in electrically noisy environments. The card mounts as a single-width module within the 53/63 card cage and draws power from the internal 5 V DC supply.
