The Agilent/Keysight 85099B is a polarization analyzer system for characterizing polarization-maintaining components and optical systems. It measures polarization state, degree of polarization (DOP), polarization-dependent loss (PDL), and polarization-mode dispersion (PMD) across the 1200–1600 nm wavelength range. The instrument integrates dual Fabry-Perot laser sources at 1300 nm and 1550 nm with an automatic three-state polarization generator, enabling automated PDL and PMD procedures. It operates with external single- or swept-wavelength sources and interfaces directly via USB with Keysight PNA Series network analyzers, or through Windows® control with PNA, ENA, PXIe, and Streamline analyzer families.
