The Ametek VT1586A-001 is a rack-mount terminal panel that extends VXIbus instrument connections to remote measurement points. It supports up to 32 three-wire connections via SCSI interconnect cables, with integrated RF filtering and on-board temperature sensing for enhanced measurement accuracy.

The VT1586A-001 requires specific Terminal Modules for operation: VT1413C High Speed A/D Converter or VT1415A Algorithmic Closed Loop Controller. The 122 µA excitation current for on-board thermistors is supplied only by these modules to channels 00–31. This panel is equivalent to the Keysight/Agilent E1586A.
