Equipment info

The Agilent/HP 33220A is a 20 MHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator employing Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology to deliver stable, accurate output signals across a broad spectrum of test and measurement applications. It generates standard waveforms—sine, square, ramp, triangle, noise, and DC—plus user-defined arbitrary waveforms with 14-bit resolution at 50 MSa/s sample rate. The instrument supports internal modulation (AM, FM, PM, FSK, PWM), linear and logarithmic sweeps, and burst mode operation, making it suitable for signal development, device characterization, and subsystem validation in RF, analog, and mixed-signal environments.
