The Keysight 34972A is an LXI-compliant data acquisition unit that integrates a 6½-digit DMM into a 3-slot mainframe for automated test, data logging, and system monitoring. It measures 11 signal types—DC/AC volts, DC/AC current, 2-wire and 4-wire resistance, frequency, period, and temperature via thermocouples, RTDs, and thermistors—at scan rates up to 250 channels/second. The unit accepts up to 8 plug-in switch and control modules, delivering 96 matrix crosspoints or 120 single-ended channels when fully populated.
