Kikusui PLZ6000

The Kikusui PLZ6000R is a 6 kW regenerative DC electronic load engineered for high-performance power testing in industrial and laboratory environments. It simulates dynamic load conditions across power supplies, batteries, and power components while recovering up to 5600 VA of energy with 85-90% efficiency, significantly reducing heat generation and operational costs. Six operating modes—constant current, constant resistance, constant voltage, constant power, and dual CC+CV or CR+CV combinations—enable precise characterization of power systems. The unit accepts three-phase 180-220 Vac input and delivers voltage ranges from 3-60V and current capability to 400A, with soft-start timing configurable from 20-200 ms. Advanced sequencing supports up to 10 independent programs of 256 steps each, with step timing from 10 ms to 999 hours 59 minutes. Parallel operation accommodates up to five units (one master, four slaves) for systems reaching 30 kW. Full protection includes overvoltage, overcurrent, overpower, overheat, reverse connection, and undervoltage safeguards. Remote sensing provides 2V compensation via relay switching. GPIB, RS232C, and USB interfaces (12 Mbps) enable SCPI-based remote control and data acquisition. The compact form factor—430 mm W × 173 mm H × 550 mm D, 43 kg—suits confined benchtop and rack configurations.
