The Max Technologies PXI-400 is a multi-function Industry Pack carrier board that integrates IPack mezzanine modules into PXI systems. It provides a versatile platform for expanding PXI-based measurement and automation capabilities through support of hundreds of third-party and MAX Technologies mezzanine I/O modules. The PXI-400 is a legacy product with a Last Time Buy date of December 31, 2024.
Technical Specifications
The PXI-400 operates as a PXI/CPCI 3U card measuring 178.3 mm × 100 mm. It accommodates up to two single or one double Industry Pack module, using the PCI Local Bus 2.1 Standard. On-board processing includes a 200 MHz RISC CPU (StrongArm) paired with 16 MB DRAM (64 MB optional), 2 MB SRAM, and 4 MB Flash memory. Time-tagging resolution reaches 32-bit precision with one-microsecond accuracy. Power consumption is 2.3 W maximum for the carrier board alone, drawing 3.3 V @ 550 mA and 5 V @ 100 mA. The MTBF rating is 642,000 hours per MIL-HDBK-217 FN2 at 30 °C. Operating temperature range spans 0 °C to 70 °C; storage range extends from -55 °C to 100 °C. Relative humidity tolerance is 0 to 95% non-condensing.
