The Newport ESP300-1NN11N is a single-axis motion controller and driver that integrates control and drive functionality into one compact chassis. It commands stepper motors, brush DC servo motors, and DC open-loop motors with up to 3 A per axis at 48 V maximum. The unit delivers 1000x programmable micro-stepping for stepper positioning and 18-bit command output for DC motors, all governed by a 32-bit floating-point DSP processor running a digital PID servo loop with velocity and acceleration feed-forward.
