The NI DAQPad-6508 is a USB-based digital I/O device delivering 96 bidirectional static I/O lines for portable data acquisition and control. Built on four 24-bit Programmable Peripheral Interfaces divisible into twelve 8-bit sub-ports, it supports TTL and CMOS logic levels at 5 V and handles transfer rates up to 60 S/s per sub-port. The device integrates interrupt and programmed I/O data transfer methods, with optional 2-wire handshaking capability using dedicated port C control lines. A 100 kΩ pull-up resistor on each terminal allows manual configuration of power-up states to high or low logic levels.
