The Noyes OPM4 is a handheld optical power meter engineered for field measurement of optical power and insertion loss across fiber optic networks. It delivers accurate readings in dBm or µW, with insertion loss measured in dB. The instrument supports automatic wavelength identification (Wave ID) when paired with compatible Noyes OLS series light sources, automatically detecting and setting receive wavelengths to streamline testing workflows. Multiple test tone detection at 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz enables fiber identification. Reference levels are stored per calibrated wavelength for repeatable testing. A large backlit LCD display ensures readability in variable field conditions. The OPM4 is available in four detector configurations—silicon, germanium, InGaAs, and filtered InGaAs—each calibrated for specific wavelengths and suited to distinct network applications from premises LAN to CATV and telecommunications. All measurements are N.I.S.T. traceable.
