The OMRON / Delta Tau ACC-24P is an axis expansion board that augments PMAC and Turbo PMAC motion controllers with additional servo interface circuitry. A single ACC-24P board provides four channels of encoder inputs and analog outputs via one integrated PMAC DSPGATE, with an optional second DSPGATE extending capability to eight channels. Up to four ACC-24P boards can be daisy-chained to a Turbo PMAC controller, yielding up to 32 additional axis channels. The board features 3-channel differential/single-ended encoder inputs per DSPGATE, 16-bit ±10V analog outputs, optically isolated digital I/O flags, and a 16-bit serial ADC interface. A 60-pin IDC servo connector and expansion port connector provide communication with the PMAC CPU board via flat-cable connections. Housed in a 2/3-sized PC expansion card form factor with ISA bus connector for mounting only—data communication occurs through the 50-pin expansion port, not the ISA bus. The ACC-24P integrates with PMAC PC and PMAC VME systems and can interface with companion boards including the Acc-28 (ADC), Acc-8D (terminal block), and Acc-14D (resolver input) modules.
