The Oriel 77501 Fiber Optic Illuminator is a VIS-NIR broadband light source engineered for coupling stable illumination into fiber bundles and liquid light guides. Built around a 100 W quartz tungsten halogen lamp with a 2.3 × 4.2 mm filament, the unit delivers consistent output across the visible and near-infrared spectrum. An aspheric collection lens and plano-convex re-imaging optics create an F/1.5 optical system with a 6.0 mm spot size at the fiber interface.
