The Tektronix 2380J-120-60 is a programmable DC electronic load designed for precision testing and characterization of DC power sources. This single-channel instrument operates across 0–120 V with dual current ranges (0–6 A low, 0–60 A high) and dissipates up to 250 W, supporting both 100 VAC nominal input operation and switchable 120/240 VAC configurations at 50/60 Hz.
Technical Specifications
The 2380J-120-60 delivers four primary operating modes with distinct measurement accuracy. Constant Current (CC) mode provides programmable current sinking across both ranges with ±(0.05% + 0.05% FS) setting accuracy and 0.01 mA resolution. Constant Voltage (CV) mode covers 0–18 V (low range) or 0–120 V (high range) with 0.025% FS ± 0.025% accuracy at 25 °C ± 5 °C and minimum operating voltages of 0.18 V at 6 A or 1.8 V at 60 A respectively. Constant Resistance (CR) mode spans 0.3–10 Ω (low) to 10–7.5 kΩ (high) with 1 MΩ input terminal impedance. Constant Power (CP) mode reaches 250 W with 0.1% FS ± 0.1% accuracy.
Transient operating modes enable dynamic cycling up to 25 kHz with adjustable slew rates from 0.0001–2.5 A/µs and minimum rise times of approximately 10 µs. Voltage and current measurement speeds achieve up to 50 kHz (25 kHz during dynamic cycling). Current readback accuracy stands at ±0.05% FS ± 0.05% with 0.01 mA resolution. Voltage readback delivers ±0.025% FS ± 0.025% accuracy at 25 °C ± 5 °C with 1–10 mV resolution.
