The VXI Technology 4016-1-S-11015 is a message-based analog comparator module for VXIbus systems, delivering 16 true differential input channels with programmable threshold detection and interrupt generation. Designed for the VMIP™ (VXI Modular Instrumentation Platform) family, it enables high-density instrumentation by mounting within a VM9000 carrier alongside up to two additional VMIP™ modules, occupying a single VXIbus slot.
Technical Specifications
• Channels: 16 true differential analog comparator inputs
• Input Ranges: ±10 V, ±100 V
• Input Threshold: ±10 V range with 78 mV resolution
• Input Impedance: 200 kΩ differential
• Digital Debouncing: Programmable from 10 µs to 0.6 s
• Input Polarity: Rising or falling edge selectable per channel
• IRQ Output: Open collector driver, 200 mA

– Key Features
• Independent per-channel software programming—inputs can be masked, inverted, and logically combined
• Generates VXIbus or front-panel interrupts when thresholds are exceeded
• Noise rejection through integrated debouncing circuitry
• VXIplug&play drivers reduce integration time
• Modular architecture maximizes slot utilization within VM9000 carriers
– Typical Applications
Go/no-go testing, voltage monitoring, rapid-response control systems, precision threshold detection in automated test environments.
– Compatibility & Integration
Works within VXIbus mainframes and slot 0 resource managers. Integrates into hybrid systems with PXI, LXI, and GPIB components via appropriate interface kits. Operates as part of the larger VMIP™ ecosystem.
