The Abaco Systems / VMIC VMIPMC-5565-010 is an ultrahigh-speed fiber-optic reflective memory module that enables deterministic, real-time data sharing across distributed systems with up to 256 nodes. Operating independently of host processor involvement, the module facilitates transparent data transfers via a high-speed fiber-optic network while minimizing I/O overhead and optimizing system performance. It supports configurable packet sizes from 4 to 64 bytes, achieving network transfer rates between 43 Mbyte/s and 174 Mbyte/s, with a serial connection speed of 2.12 Gbaud.
