The Sony XC-ST50 is a compact black-and-white video camera module engineered for integration into industrial machine vision and imaging systems. Built around a 1/2-inch IT CCD sensor with HAD technology, it delivers 768 (H) × 494 (V) effective pixels in EIA format with exceptional sensitivity of 0.3 lx (F1.4) and a 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio. The camera provides flexible electronic shutter control from 1/100 to 1/10,000 s, variable gain adjustment up to 18 dB, and selectable frame/field exposure modes. An external trigger shutter function allows speed specification via external trigger pulse width or rear panel switch configuration. The module supports both internal and external synchronization via HD/VD and VS signals, with frame/field selection and restart/reset functionality controlled through DIP switches. Housed in a compact 44 (W) × 29 (H) × 57.5 (D) mm package weighing approximately 110 g, the XC-ST50 features a C-mount lens interface compatible with commercial and Sony standard lenses. Video output connects via BNC, while system control and power integrate through a 12-pin multi-connector with available cable lengths of 2 m, 5 m, 10 m, and 25 m. High-precision screw holes on the lens mount surface enable secure integration and tripod adaptation.
