The Sorensen DCR80-125 is a 10 kW DC power supply engineered for laboratory, industrial, and OEM applications requiring high precision and reliability. It delivers 0–80 V at 0–125 A with automatic voltage/current crossover, operating in constant voltage or constant current mode based on load conditions. The unit features tight voltage regulation of 0.05% or 10 mV (whichever is greater) in CV mode, 0.1% current regulation in CC mode, and transient response within ±1% in 40 ms typical for 50–100% load steps. Remote sense capability compensates for load lead voltage drops up to 3–10 V. Full remote control and monitoring, overvoltage protection, phase loss detection, thermal shutdown, and adjustable current limiting with automatic recovery ensure safe operation across demanding test and burn-in scenarios. The unit accepts 480 Vac ±10%, three-phase, 60 Hz input (50 Hz optional) and employs forced-air cooling in a Case Size II enclosure standing 8.75 inches high.
