The Sorensen DLM40-15 is a 600 W programmable DC power supply delivering 0–40 VDC at 0–15 ADC with exceptional output stability and low noise. Dual-mode operation (CV/CC with automatic crossover) accommodates both voltage and current regulation requirements. Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) technology minimizes ripple to 2.5 mVrms and 15 mVp-p, critical for precision test and measurement applications.

Line regulation holds voltage to 0.005% of Vmax + 2 mV and current to 0.01% of Imax + 2 mA. Load regulation tightens further: voltage at 0.005% of Vmax + 2 mV, current at 0.02% of Imax + 5 mA. Long-term stability maintains ±0.05% maximum rating over 8 hours following a 15-minute warm-up. Temperature coefficients of 0.02%/°C (voltage) and 0.03%/°C (current) ensure predictable performance across the 0–50°C operating range.

Transient response recovers to rated voltage within 1 ms for 100%–70% or 70%–100% step load changes. Front-panel 10-turn potentiometers enable precise voltage and current setting, while dual 3½-digit LED displays show set-point or actual values. Standard analog programming accepts 0–5 VDC, 0–10 VDC, or 0–5 kΩ inputs; optional LXI-compliant Ethernet, RS-232C, or IEEE-488.2 interfaces support remote operation.

The 1U-high, half-rack-wide (8.5 inches) chassis accommodates high-density rackmount installations with zero top/bottom clearance requirement. Single-phase AC input ranges 90–132 VAC or 180–264 VAC (auto-ranging), 47–63 Hz, with typical 0.6 power factor at full load. Internal variable-speed cooling with over-temperature protection maintains safe operation in demanding test environments.
