The Thorlabs TE 8030 is a high-precision thermoelectric device (TED) controller module engineered for accurate temperature stabilization of optical and electronic components. This plug-in module integrates into the Thorlabs PRO8 Series Chassis and delivers closed-loop temperature control via a full PID feedback loop with independent P, I, and D settings. The controller maintains temperature stability better than ±0.002 °C (typically ±0.001 °C with AD590 sensors) across a wide operating range.
Technical Specifications
• Temperature control range: −12.375 to 90.000 °C (with semiconductor sensor); 5 Ω to 20 kΩ and 50 Ω to 200 kΩ (with thermistor, in two ranges)
• Temperature stability: Better than ±0.002 °C; typically ±0.001 °C with AD590 sensor
• TEC current ranges: ±2 A at 16 W, ±4 A at 32 W, ±8 A at 64 W
