The CyberOptics/Imagenation PXC-200L-02 is a PCI-based color frame grabber for real-time image capture and processing in industrial vision systems. It uses a PCI bus master architecture to transfer image data directly to system memory or other PCI devices via DMA, offloading processing overhead from the host CPU.
## Technical Specifications
The PXC-200L-02 accepts four multiplexed video inputs supporting NTSC, PAL, SECAM, and S-video formats. Standard capture resolutions are 640 × 480 pixels (NTSC) and 768 × 576 pixels (PAL/SECAM). Output data can be formatted as YCrCb, RGB, or Y8 (grayscale) to match downstream processing requirements.
Automatic synchronization to the selected video source occurs in approximately 2.5 seconds on the standard model. The optional PXC200AF control package reduces synchronization time to less than 0.5 seconds and adds sync signal outputs for gen-locking external video sources. External trigger inputs are programmable for configurable logic levels and edge detection. Strobe inhibit during CCD transfer time (available with PXC200AF) ensures reliable frame capture.
## Key Features
• Real-time image scaling with interpolation for flexible resolution output
• Horizontal and vertical cropping to optimize memory and bandwidth consumption
• Low pixel jitter for high-accuracy image acquisition
• Four general-purpose programmable I/O lines (inputs and outputs) with PXC200AF control package
• Direct Memory Access (DMA) transfer capability to system memory or peer PCI devices
• Vertical and horizontal sync outputs for gen-locking video sources
## Compatibility & Integration
The frame grabber operates on standard PCI bus interfaces and supports Win32 operating systems. Drivers enable 32-bit multithreaded application development. The device integrates with commercial machine vision software including XCaliper, Halcon, and CVB. Development is supported through Borland and Microsoft C/C++ compilers and any language capable of calling standard Windows DLLs.
