Equipment info

The NI PXI-6562 is a high-performance LVDS digital waveform generator and analyzer module for PXI systems. It delivers 16 channels of synchronized digital I/O with independent per-channel direction control in single-data-rate mode. Operating at clock rates up to 200 MHz, the module achieves data rates to 400 Mb/s in double-data-rate mode, making it suitable for low-voltage differential signaling applications in mixed-signal test environments.

Technical Specifications

Digital I/O Architecture
• 16 channels with per-channel direction control (SDR mode)
• Single and double data rate modes supported
• Clock rate: up to 200 MHz
• Maximum data rate: 400 Mb/s (DDR mode)

Memory Configuration
On-board memory available in three configurations: 2 Mb/channel, 16 Mb/channel, or 128 Mb/channel, enabling complex pattern sequencing and triggering operations.

Signal Characteristics
• I/O standard: Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS)
• Differential voltage output (Vod) into 100 Ω: typically 1.125 V
• Single-ended output low (into open): max 2.16 V
• Input impedance: 100 Ω
• Acquisition voltage thresholds: LVDS and LVCMOS compatible

Connectors & Timing
• Three SMB jack connectors
• One 12X InfiniBand I/O connector
• CLK IN frequency range: 20 kHz to 200 MHz
• PXI_STAR frequency range: 48 Hz to 70 MHz
• Advanced synchronization via SMC (Synchronization and Memory Core)

Power & Environment
• Maximum power requirement: 16.4 W
• Operating temperature: 0 °C to 55 °C
• Storage temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C
• Dimensions: 21.6 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm; weight 12 oz
