The Schlumberger/Solartron 1260 is a precision impedance and gain-phase analyzer engineered for accurate characterization of frequency response and impedance across materials and electronic components. It employs a patented single-sine correlation technique to reject noise and harmonic distortion, delivering 0.1% impedance accuracy and 0.1° phase accuracy. The instrument measures impedance from 100 mΩ to >100 MΩ (extendable to 100 TΩ with the 1296A Dielectric Interface) and supports 2-, 3-, and 4-terminal measurement configurations. It operates over 10 µHz to 32 MHz with 0.015 ppm frequency resolution, enabling broad applicability in materials research, electrochemistry, and component development.
